Ingredients
3mediumeggs
1tbspbuttersoftened but not melted
0.75cupmilklukewarm
2cupsall-purpose flour
0.25tspsea salt
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the egg, butter and milk.
Add flour and salt to bowl and combine until it forms a soft dough. Add flour if too sticky.
Bring some salted water to a boil in a small pan. Once reaching a rolling boil, reduce heat to a low simmer. Using a spoon, scoop out small dough balls, about an inch in diameter each, and drop them into the boiling water. Let boil for 3 to 5 minutes or until cooked through. Be careful not to waterlog them while also ensuring they are fully cooked.Alternately, you could add them to soup a few minutes before serving.
Drain the water from the dumplings or place them in a strainer. If they will be sitting for a little while, toss them with a pad of butter to keep them from sticking together.
Serve with a sprinkle of paprika. You could also use them as a base for your Paprika Chicken.
