This recipe consists of a can of tomato sauce and dried herbs. You could likely make it even better by using fresh or homegrown oregano, basil, garlic and onion. Either way, it’s still going to be easy to make. Just remember that homegrown items generally require more quantity to achieve the same level of flavor. But the sauce will definitely have a much higher level of freshness.

  • 16 ounces tomato sauce Contadina FTW
  • 0.5 tsp oregano
  • 0.5 tsp basil
  • 0.5 tsp powdered garlic
  • 0.5 tsp powdered onion
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp granulated sugar
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • Stir well. For best results, leave it sit for at least 10 minutes before spreading on pizza.
